Arcade Chase
An 8-bit maze where chat are the ghosts
Pick a platform skin and the four ghosts wear real streamer avatars. Arrow keys, WASD or the D-pad below — your hi-score is kept on this device.
Arrow keys, WASD or the D-pad to move. Click the maze to start.

What makes this different from any other maze game?
The four ghosts wear real streamer profile pictures. Pick the Twitch, Kick or YouTube skin and the chase is populated by creators your audience already follows, which turns a filler game into something chat has opinions about.
Underneath it is a faithful maze chase: dots, four power pellets, ghosts that alternate between scattering to their corners and hunting you, and a frightened mode that flips the chase for a few seconds after a pellet. Each ghost hunts differently — one comes straight at you, one aims four tiles ahead of where you are going, and one backs off when it gets too close.
Your hi-score is kept in the browser on the device you played on. There is no account and no leaderboard, so nothing to sign up for and nothing to lose.
How do you play it on stream?
Arrow keys or WASD on desktop, and an on-screen D-pad on touch devices. Click the maze or press any key to start, and any key again to restart after a game over.
Unlike the tier list and the bracket, this one has no overlay and no host panel — it is a game you play, not a session you run. Capture it with a Window Capture or a Browser Source pointed at this page, or simply play it in a browser you are already sharing.
It works well as a between-segment filler, as a punishment for losing a bet with chat, or as a way to keep a stream alive while you wait for a lobby. A run takes a couple of minutes.
Is this an official Pac-Man game?
No. Pac-Man is a trademark of Bandai Namco, and this is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The game here is an original maze chase built from scratch, in a different palette, with a different name.
It is described as Pac-Man-style because that is the accurate way to tell you what kind of game it is — the same way a film is described as Hitchcockian. Naming the product itself Pac-Man would be a different matter entirely, which is why it is called Arcade Chase.
The maze layout, the ghost behaviour and the artwork are all our own. The streamer avatar skins are profile pictures fetched from public platform pages and shown at 22 pixels square as game sprites.
